He makes the case for TCU winning a share of the title. Great quotes from Gary Patterson and the TCU Athletic Director.

It would be a lot of fun to see if TCU’s speedy defense could shut down not only a power running game in Wisconsin, but also a fast break, high-octane offense like Oregon’s or the magnificent Cam Newton.

Regardless, Saturday was a great day for TCU and all the non-AQ schools. I thought it was very cool how Patterson and QB, Andy Dalton gave shout-outs to Boise State and all the non-AQ schools.

Non-AQ in football, mid-major in basketball – it’s just ridiculous. Can you play or not. TCU lined up and busted Wisconsin in the mouth – end of story.

Would TCU or Boise State go undefeated every year in a bigger conference? Of course not. But nobody does year in and year out. That’s why the whole thing is a racket. The honks seem to think that a team like Boise State this year, losing one tough road game to a ranked team when their kicker missed 2 chip shot field goals, all of the sudden shows that the Broncos were nothing but a pretender all year and deserve no part of the BCS. It’s just crazy. In my opinion, Boise State would have killed UCON, beaten Oklahoma, Ohio State and Arkansas, played close games with Stanford and Wisconsin, and they already beat Virginia Tech earlier this year. Not to mention, Boise beat TCU last year in a BCS game. Of course it was only TCU that got a chance to do these things this year beacuse they did not have a blemish on their record. One very close loss to Nevada dropped Boise State all the way to the Las Vegas Bowl. Congrats again to TCU for making the most of their opportunity. For Boise State and TCU, a play-off can’t get here soon enough.
