Long time offensive coordinator, Norm Chow appears to finally have his first head coaching job. Both Chow and Kalani Sitake, University of Utah coaches on Kyle Whittingham’s staff, have been rumored to be in the mix for the open head coaching job at Hawaii. They were among nearly 30 candidates for the job. It appears as if Chow is the winner.

It’s about time that he got a shot at a good head coaching position. I’ll admit that I was one of the Cougar fans who grew to take Chow for granted after so many years as offensive coordinator. But I think he is stepping into a nice gig.

Decent program. Low expectations. He just might be able to look like a winner without a lot of output his first year or two. And he may even look like a hero, if he can have some early victories.

    Good for Norm!

I think a lot of Cougars fans did the same – take him for granted all those years. You might be right on the bar being set pretty low at Hawaii.
