By the way, what is it with SEC quartbacks and laptops? Remember this guy – Jeremiah Masoli. He lead Oregon to the Rose Bowl last year and also snatched a few items that did not belong to him. He ultimatley ended up at Ole Miss this year.

• Dan Hawkins of course preceeded Chris Peterson at Boise State and was critical in building the Broncos into the dynasty they have become. He jumped ship for a “bigger” program in 2006 and it never worked out. His run officially ended today in Boulder, CO.

I guess the moral of the story is that it’s probably okay to bat your kid clean-up, play him all 6 six innings at shortstop and never sit him in your local little league. However, when you’re a Division 1 football coach, you’ve got to dial down the nepotism just a little.
