Classic Baseball Video – Jeter and Career Minor Leaguer

1

Though this site is primarily dedicated to college football and hoops, there were some awesome baseball moments this week I’ve posted. You all heard about Jeter’s walk-off but there was another moment at the complete opposite end of the spectrum that was also pretty cool. Say what you will about baseball, but it’s still a magical, romantic game.

Check out this link to ESPN Dallas about one of the other great baseball moments of the week that you probably didn’t hear about:

10 year minor league journeyman gets his first big league hit

Read the story – 10 years in the minors! He’d had 6 at-bats in the Bigs and finally got his first base knock in front of his wife and Father who came from Venezuela! The emotion from his Dad is great.

Then the guy goes on to get another hit in the bottom of the 7th and knocks in what turns out to be the winning run. What a night!
